House update

Everything went well with closing and such. All week we've been priming and painting.  i've got some before pictures to post, right now i'm missing my adapter card for my micro sd once i find it i will post some "during fix up" pictures and when it's all finished i will post the after picutres. things are coming along well. it's looking (and smelling) much better and we are excited to get things finished. unfortunately we still have plenty to do.

Teeth

So we just found out why our kids have been stinkers for the last few days, brittyn is getting her last molar and austin is getting his first tooth. Here's to the next while of cranky teething kids... we're just hoping that it doesn't take 3 months for austin's tooth to break through like it did for brittyn's first teeth.

The House

About 2 months ago ( or close to it) we put in an offer for a house for i think like the 4th time. It was short sale so we were expecting to wait forever to hear anything, just like with all the times we tried  before. The asking price was 69000 so we thought it'd be worth going for. We offered full price and asked them to pay 3% closing cost. Surprisingly, it only took about a month to hear anything, the bank  countered our offer, not surprised about that one, they said they'd still pay the 3 % closing cost but changed the price to 60000. We were shocked after that, who wouldn't be? I've never heard of anyone coming back with a price for less than what asking was. Woo Hoo!! We've been waiting for what seems like ever since we signed the adendum for that, but finally today we got the approval for the house today so now we just need to get an inspection so we can get things rolling! As long as nothing major comes up we're gonna go for it and get the house :o). After 3 failed attempts hopefully this will be the one. It needs new carpet and paint and a few other things but we're looking forward to being able to make it our own. :o)

4 months in a nutshell :o)

so i'm just starting to figure out how all this works, hopefully it doesn't take me too long and hopefully i'll get better at it and it won't be too boring ;o) ...so anyway, austin was born in november at 9lbs 5oz, way bigger than we expected him to be since brittyn was only 7lbs 3oz. he's been a wonderful baby and we are sooooo greatful that he is part of our family. he loves playing with his big sister and cuddling with his favorite monkey toy. so here's the last 4 months in a nutshell. nov 25 austin was born and brittyn has been obsessed with him ever since. he didn't care one bit about his first christmas but brittyn had lots of fun and now always says "santa claus coming" it's especially funny when it's random and comes out of nowhere. we didn't do anything for new years. sleep was too precious at the time since austin was only a few weeks old and i was still recovering from the c-section. i'm pretty sure we haven't stayed up to watch the ball drop since our first new years so that would have been for 2008.... i know, lame huh? oh well, like i said sleep is too precious when you have babies that don't sleep all night.... january went by way too fast and february we had our 5th anniversary :o) now march is almost over, austin has grown 5 1/2 inches and gained a little over 6lbs (big boy :o) ) brittyn is in a naughty antagonistic phase but still cute as can be and it's hard to believe how much she has grown, everytime we look at her she just looks so big. anyway, we're lovin life with each other and our sweet babies. :o)
